AWS Associate Certifications

As of today I have passed the last of the three associate exams for AWS which brings me to completing at least one of my new years resolutions.

The best resources for AWS certifications are some combination of Adrian Cantrill and Stephane’s courses with Jon Bonso’s practice tests over at tutorialsdojo. I think if one completes one of the courses from either of those guys as well as some practice tests from Bonso one should be in line to pass the associate level tests.

I really did not do much hands on work. I know this is not good and defeats the purpose of the certification. Where I am, I do a lot of work with AWS resources at work, so I did not really want to continue at home. I think it is very possible to do little labs and still pass these tests, but that is not the point.

In order of difficulty I would say Developer, Solutions Architect, SysOps in order of increasing difficulty.

For every test I used Pearson Vue and had only one technical difficulty on the SysOps exam, which was fixed in around 10 minutes.

Hoping to spend some more time reading and coding in the coming months.
